Here are some guidelines when measuring your space(s):

Draw the approximate shape of the room. It’s okay if it isn’t exact! Make notes of where any architectural features are located such as fireplaces, doors, bays, and windows.
Each wall should be labeled by North, South, East and West.
It will be the easiest to measure the overall width and length of the room first. Follow-up with measuring each wall separately, making sure to include measurements for each wall area, door, window or other architectural feature.
Please provide dimensions for doors and window openings, as well as any dimensions/measurements for any casings and decorative molding.
For any fireplace feature, make sure you include the dimensions of the floor surround.

In order to fully assess the space(s) we are designing for you, the following images should be provided for each room.

An overall room photograph taken from each corner of the space (4 photos total).
A photograph of each wall face on. If possible, please include part of the floor, ceiling and adjacent walls.
Detail photographs of any lighting, tile, flooring, or furniture pieces you are wanting to keep in the room.
